Our Mission

The Mission of the Star of Bethlehem Festival is to showcase and celebrate the diversity, culture, and spirit of the community, while providing learning experiences for children in the arts and sciences through hands on participation.

The Star of Bethlehem Festival will present creative, participatory events for the City of Bethlehem to nurture and share a sense of community spirit.

How We Do It

We will provide this sense of spirit by:

  • Offering high quality hands on programming in the arts and sciences
  • Encouraging learning through cultural and community awareness
  • Giving back to the community through donations to children’s organizations and projects
  • Showcasing community artists, master craftsmen, and local talent
  • Providing the environment for children to create and interact with creative adults and peers
  • Utilizing the wealth of the city’s rich heritage, cultural arts and progressive technology
  • Providing an opportunity for children to become active community citizens in a safe, enjoyable setting
  • Developing an awareness of the community’s nonprofits
  • Promoting active participation to teach children in an alternate environment
  • Promoting healthy families and healthy eating
